Shield your equipment against abrasion

Discover the TEKAD®5000 Range

Chutes, hoppers, buckets, pipes: abrasion wears down your equipment prematurely, day after day. Every unplanned shutdown, every part replacement costs time and money. That’s exactly the problem the TEKAD®5000 range solves.

With chrome carbides of 58 to 65 HRC metallurgically bonded to a robust base steel, TEKAD®5000 creates a barrier between your equipment and the abrasive material wearing it down.

A complete range, one single supplier

The strength of TEKAD®5000 is covering all your wear-related needs under one roof:

  • Wear plates — chrome carbides metallurgically bonded to Q345 steel
  • Overlaid pipes — reinforced walls, elbows, fittings and sections up to 12 m
  • Custom cutting — parts cut, drilled and bent to your dimensions, ready to bolt on
  • Fabricated parts — chutes, liners and complete assemblies built to your plans

One single supplier to shield, repair and replace — with a fast quote from a simple plan or photo.

A base steel that makes the difference: Q345

Most competitors overlay their plates on A36 or 44W. At TEKAD, our plates use a Q345 base steel, offering strength equivalent to dual-certified 50W/50A plates — the kind required for fans and parts subject to continuous vibration or impact.

The result: fewer unplanned shutdowns, fewer replacements, less scrap steel.

Six grades for every wear condition

Grade Hardness Overlay Usage conditions
5000-100 58–65 HRC Chrome carbide Moderate abrasion
5000-200 58–65 HRC High-density chrome carbide Severe abrasion
5000-300 58–65 HRC Complex carbides (Nb, Mo, V, Ti) Heavy abrasion + impact
5000-600 58–65 HRC Chrome carbide + tungsten Extreme abrasion
5000-F 58–65 HRC Smooth fused surface, no beading Anti-material buildup
5000-M 50–55 HRC Machinable, crack-free Machined parts, slides

Standard full plate: 2,000 x 3,000 mm (78 in x 118 in), i.e. 64 ft², thicknesses from 2+2 to 20+80 mm. Other sizes on request.

Armored screw conveyors

Screw conveyors and washing screws wear continuously — sand, aggregates, sludge, flight after flight. TEKAD®5000 protects the flighting, shaft and trough in two ways:

  • Bolted, field-replaceable CCO segments
  • Full welded chrome carbide overlay

All screw types are covered — shafted, shaftless and washing screws — whether new equipment or refurbishment. Everything is handled turnkey: preparation, armoring and finishing done in-shop. The screw comes back ready to install.

Where is TEKAD®5000 used?
